Software Engineer
Who are we looking for?
Are you ready to operate at the intersection of technology, finance and innovation? Captin is looking for talented Full-Stack Software Engineers to join our new development team in Bangalore, India. We are not maintaining legacy systems, we are building the future. You’ll design and develop new applications that redefine equity management and employee participation. We are now expanding internationally by building a new technology team in India. This team will play a key role in developing our next-generation application landscape from data warehousing to HR integrations and dynamic digital tools.

Captin is a Dutch FinTech company with a strong position in the equity management sector, specialized in employee participation. We operate a regulated trading platform in the Netherlands and manage the full administration of financial instruments for our clients. You will be part of a compact, skilled development team that builds and improves Captin’s new market-leading applications.
Your focus:
• Design and develop full-stack solutions for equity management, data processing and integrations.
• Work independently and take ownership of your code and deliverables.
• Collaborate with the Amsterdam team to ensure aligned releases and quality improvements each sprint.
• Contribute ideas and technical improvements, your input matters.
You are a passionate engineer who loves to build, not maintain. You enjoy solving complex problems, learning continuously, and delivering reliable, elegant software. You are proactive, communicative and structured in your work.
Technical skills
• Java 21+ (min. 3 years for junior, 5 for medior, 7 for senior)
• ReactJS & NextJS
• SQL (preferably PostgreSQL with CITUS)
• Azure DevOps (pipelines)
• Kubernetes
• Linux
• TDD / BDD
Other skills
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
• Support-oriented mindset and collaborative attitude

Join Captin
Hiring will be done through a corporate Indian payroll company. We offer a competitive annual salary between 15 and 32.5 lakh INR. You can also expect a full-time position following Indian Standard Time (IST), with overlap between 10:00–19:00 IST for alignment with the Amsterdam team.
